Day 4

This poor mite was up half the night with sore ears. I got him a dr appt first thing and he was diagnosed with 2 ear infections and tonsillitis so not scarlet fever or concussion or a virus . During the afternoon his ear drum perforated which was all very yuck. He hasn't had a temperature since tho. So either the antibiotics were working straightaway or the perforation reduced the infection or combination of both, either way he was upright after this wee snooze in front of the ooglies. I thought I'd get a nap too and switched off the tv rooky patent mistake which then woke him up. And then he declared he wanted us to do something together, something like painting! I spend my life wishing they were more into creative things and then I'm given the opportunity and all I want is a wee nap :-D We had a lovely time painting together as I managed to stay awake.

C was v grumpy this morn as the postponed sports day was on. He hates sports day as he has 5 very competitive boys in his class who not only usually beat him but also gloat about it. I was sad to not be able to support him today but he came home all smiles having beat 3 of these boys in the obstacle race to come 1st. I felt very pleased for him and very nearly punched the air in delight that he'd beaten them :-D

D was disappointed because he has been practising running fasts his year and in their practise he had beaten the ones who beat him last year so was pretty sure he'd win a race. He wanted to invent a machine that would swap him and C as C didn't want to go and he did.
