Piping and setting

For the second week running, the lads from the Niteroi pipe band came over the water to the Scottish Country Dancing practice. With their Brazilian sense of rhythm and grace of movement, they’re picking it up double quick (HH coaching them in the photo). Before they left, they brought out the pipes (in the Brazilian colours) and side drum and treated us to several tunes, including Scotland the Brave and Amazing Grace. One lad stood silent, looking serious and a bit spare. He’s a drummer, but for some reason, his instrument hadn’t made it across the Bay.
