BROODING PIER

I think the pier is brooding because its going to be closed for a good while during the earthquake repairs.  One can look down the line of the pier and see it is quite a lot out of line - goodness knows how they will bring it back to its trueness - anyway its was certainly a brooding day today - although not cold for the shortest day.
