Waspish

Wasps might be horrid critters but their eyes are fascinating.  I just love the patterns in them - well, when they stay still enough for me to capture them.

I was at a meeting in Timaru this afternoon and walked past this shrub as I was leaving the conference room.  Fortunately I had my camera on me.  

Well, that's the shortest day done and dusted for 2016 - we can look forward to increasing daylight now, which bodes well for my available blipping light.
