Bog pimpernel
We arose at 3.30am - not a glimmer from the east! A strong cuppa and then off to Cork airport which was unexpectedly heaving; people off to exotic places in their shorts, well Malaga anyway. We were both a bit damp eyed as I waved Gitama off on her next leg of her adventure- a few more days in Edinburgh. What a really lovely lady and what a great time we've had; it certainly feels pretty quiet at home now.
A bit of half-hearted weeding ( I noticed her gardening gloves remained untouched!!), a little photo editing, a bit of research on the next holy well (the wonderfully named St Bericheart, which can be spelled a million ways), a gathering in of red currants and that is quite enough for one day. I was rather delighted to find that bog pimpernel was sprouting in the lawn - we'd seen some up on the hills yesterday and it's very pretty. An early night beckons.
