A slice of Lesley's life

Caribbeanesque

The eagle-eyed among you may spot that is not a Caribbean sky. It is, however, the top of my Caribbean inspired swing chair in the garden. And if I curl up on the very comfy cushion and bury my nose deeply in my book it is pretty much as relaxing. Freaks Albi out though that it swings round so there is no spot in the garden safe from gaze and therefore available for creating mischief.

All rather lovely after a day of being an a actual working person, going to a real office and wearing a working person's outfit and everything. Working with one of my favourite clients though and really quite fun.

Home to transfer some dancing children to a dress rehearsal as that is quite a feature of this week, as it was the last one. I keep in mind all the hours, and frankly days, my dad drove me to netball training, games and tournaments without ever once making me feel like it was a hardship even though I'm guessing he could think of better ways to spend a Saturday. So I do it very happily. And maybe one day Anna will too.

The boy/menfolk (or the Tall People as I have been told they like to be known) have been at home and J has introduced Carl to Rummikub. And apparently Jackson has discovered from first-hand experience why it is hard for Albi to come down the stairs. So it seems like rich and productive days all round.

Later there will be book group (Anne Tyler; Dinner at The Homesick Restaurant) and for now there is reading in the chair (Richard H. Thaler; Misbehaving).
