The Cob Oven

Over the past wee while, I have been busy with a project in the back garden....To construct and build a Cob Pizza Oven.

One of my friends went on a Cob building course last year and after he came back with all sorts of "Stories" of various items built out of traditional "Cob", I decided that the Pizza Oven was a good one to have a crack at.

Onto You Tube I went and after acquiring various bits and pieces, the oven was built.

Today was the first "firing" of the oven to try and bring it up to temperature and to see if the "Cob" would hold its shape.

It did......Not too many cracks appeared.....so now more "firing" will be done and all being well the first Pizza will be cooked in it, in the not too distant future!!
