High Key Swanlet

It was my last late night at work for 12 weeks, as it's the end of term this week at university. Working a late each week means I have the morning off and start work at lunchtime. So I went for my last Monday morning walk until September, in spite of the fact that it was pouring down.

It was lovely watching the birds, as the wet weather didn't seem to have much impact on them. The house martins and swallows were swooping across the lake. I watched a tree creeper go back and forth to a hidden nest, in a dead tree trunk, with a beak full of insects. And the cygnets were sat on the bank with mum, preening and then slowly dropping off to sleep.

And then I had to leave and set of for work........
