Remains of a Gaol
Train strike today. Our line was on a reduced service, with our usual train due to be the first train of the day. We weren’t sure we would even get on it, so decided to drive into Edinburgh and pay an astronomical amount for the pleasure of parking.
As is the norm at the moment, work was pretty busy, and I didn’t leave the building till it was time to go home this evening, after staying a bit late to catch up on a few things.
Once home I managed a short walk to increase my feeble step count.
Here is Governor’s House, all that remains of Calton Gaol and the Political Martyrs’ Monument (the obelisk) on Calton Hill, captured on my way to work this morning.
