The bison babies are all over the place in their shaggy red coats. (the Flathead word for a bison calf is Red Dog) They look more like sheep than calves. Cow calves are much cuter, but these two are just sweet.
Several ranches in the Bitterroot raise bison and you can buy the meat almost anywhere. It has a finer grain than beef and easily digestible by even babies.
