Midwinter solstice

Hard to believe when we had to open all the doors this morning to cool down. This afternoon as I walked round the block I had to take off jersey and raincoat it was so hot.

After lunch we strolled along the beach front near the saltwater baths and the wharf. I took a wide angle view down along the Motueka Beach. A cooler northerly blowing down there.

Lunch was at Toad Hall as a nod to our 42 years of marriage. We tried to remember what we had for lunch that day. It was an 11am ceremony followed by a hotel meal with about 50 friends and family. There was a wedding cake I remember that and we had Southland swedes tossed into the back of the ute as we drove off. (Trev is a Southern man).Just went to Richmond for a night and dined at the pie cart there for tea.But lunch - no idea.

The link? Still together after 42 years.
