Context

When it comes to growing well the right situation means everything.

This is so common it must be known to everyone. It is of course Sedum acre or Wall Pepper. Also known as goldmoss stonecrop, mossy stonecrop, biting stonecrop. It is a native to Europe but also naturalised in North America, Japan and New Zealand.

Being a low growing species it cannot compete with more vigorous fast growing species. You will find it, as here, near dry stone walls. It also likes seashore rocks and dry wasteland.

Although it is common it is to me bright and attractive and I always love to find it.
