We have had ....

..... Such a lovely day!!
We visited 2 N. T. properties today, we had hoped to do 3, but Isaac Newton's house , ( Woolsthorpe Manor ) was so interesting we stayed longer than we thought we would, it's small but soo interesting and lots for children to experiment with, really worth a visit. I think you may be able to see the story of the Apple Tree if you use a magnifying glass???
Then we went to Belton House , in 2016 Belton explores the role played byPeregrine Crust, the 6th Baron, in the Royal abdication of 1936 ' Perry ' was a close friend and Lord in Waiting to King Edward 8th, standing by his side in the crisis! Belton was very involved in this political upheaval that rocked the nation, anyone notice the analogy ??
The weather was kind to us also, only started raining when we were retuning to the Hotel. There is so much more to see at Belton , a must, for us to return.

Happy ..... to have good company and learn more about our history. N. T. and English Heritage , long may they reign !
