It was a really big surprise, but a real treat to see a hedgehog in town near 12:00 (midday) today. Only a small number of people noticed it, as it was quick on its feet, and they left it well alone.

I thought I'd missed it only to find it by some bikes near a building, and in bright sunlight and partial shade took a couple of quick shots of it, before leaving it well alone. I returned barely a few minutes later and it was nowhere in sight.
