Callander Kirk
reaches heavenward through the trees.
A lovely evening in Callander. Shot taken from the bridge over the River Teith in Bridgend, the oldest part of the town and the main street of the original village.
Originally built in 1844 as St. Bride's Free Church significant alterations in 1861 included the addition of the chancel and western Italianate entrance tower.
A prominent landmark in Callander, the square clock tower rises above the pitch of the roof and supports a projecting cornice on which sits the belfry stage composed of 3 round arched openings capped with a shallow pyramid roof.
Backblipped Saturday 28 July.
