Quick Silver

I went swimming today for the first time in ages, having been persuaded by an old friend. I used to swim four times a week but closure of our lovely little local outdoor pool, the retirement of our instructor and my family responsibilities over the past three years put paid to it. It felt really good to be back in the swim. :)

I've blipped this moth because I've never seen or photographed a silver-ground carpet before. It's on an oak leaf but we have plenty of cleavers and lady's bedstraw that its caterpillars like.
