Gettysburg National Military Park

Rather a continuation from yesterday~ about an hour and a half from Harrisburg.
We visited The Eisenhower National Historic Site~ the former home and farm of the President, soldier and statesman~
In 'retirement' Ike took up oil painting ~just as many retirees do~
Today's Blip was the favourite painting of the President and his wife ~ a colourful portrait of 'A Mexican' and it hangs in their house.

We are big fans of the US National Parks ~ their staff and volunteers~ are friendly, helpful and knowledgeable- a great combination!
