Lost Gardens of Heligan

The name begs the question 'Er......how do you loose a garden....?' WW1 played a part by radically reducing the workforce and, as with a large number of English estates, fortunes declined in tge following yeas.
Happily towards the end of the last century the gardens were rediscovered and restororation is ongoing.
The Mud Maiden caused great excitement with our little boys when they galloped round a corner and we're fully able to take the sculpture in! 
The extra picture reminded me of NZ-sigh!!
