Ephedra nevadensis

Also known around these parts as Brigham Tea or Mormon Tea. It was called this because of its use by the early Mormon pioneers as an herbal remedy. It grows here in the deserts of the US Southwest. I have never used it, but Ephedra is used in many medicines. This one is growing in my sister's yard across the street. You can learn more about it here. The article is very fun and informative.
