Celebrating the Longest Day !

And what better than an early start ?
There must have been something in
the air as well as the sea on that day
as the silence of my earlier than usual
walk was broken by the sound of
whooping just beyond the Spa !
Can much have changed since the
delights and health giving properties
of sea bathing in Scarborough's South
Bay were discovered in the 18th Cent.?
Modesty which was then the preserve of
the bathing machine now reposes
within the confines of a wet suit !
