Le Plat Du Jour

It's a very special day in the UK when we can either look inward or outward. I'll not comment as to which way I voted but for dinner I had the most wonderful mix of tomatoes from Netherlands; peppers from Spain; rocket from Italy; pears from Belgium; mushrooms from Ireland; salami from Germany; feta cheese from Greece; gherkins from Poland, spring onions from UK and washed down with a glass of Chardonnay from France. What a wonderful mix of foods that when together are far better than the individual parts.
