A great first day in the Alps.  Hilary and I took the scenic route up to the heights above Leysin this morning.  While  H had to return to base this afternoon I was free to wander down in my own time.  Just before the long descent I took a stroll around Lac Manay, this was the view looking back from the far end - it speaks for itself.

The hike down was made more exciting when I parted company with a camera for a while.  Meeting up again cost valuable time - I missed my intended train by a minute but this being Switzerland there was another one in a while :-)
