The Tailor's Story

The Tailor's Story is based on the Tailor of Gloucester by Beatrix Potter. The Tailor is commissioned to make a fancy waistcoat for a local rich man. He slips and hurts his wrist so cannot complete the job. His daughter finishes the work in secret and her father finally has to admit she has talent enough to work with him.

I enjoy visiting the other scenes and seeing how the scripts are coming alive. This scene is being performed in the garden of the old Tailor's House where some of the tailors would sit cross legged in the front window.
