Golden Queen

Today's the day ......................... to find reasons to be cheerful

After waking up to the (in my opinion) utterly depressing news this morning - and then spending the day hearing all the equally miserable analysis and endless discussions on what will happen as we extricate ourselves out of the EEC - I was in need of a bit of cheerfulness.

So I poured myself a glass of chilled white, went out into the sanctuary of the garden and found myself the most vibrant, happy, colourful flower to take a picture of. 

And this is the result by a huge majority - a lovely globeflower - Trollius chinensis 'Golden Queen'  ..............................
