Farewell EU

The Coventry War Memorial was inaugurated on 8th October 1927 by Field Marshall Earl Haig to remember the dead of WWI.  Only 14 years later it was blasted by the Luftwaffe during the Blitz in WWII - the shrapnel scars are still clearly visible.   The foundations for the EU were created only 10 years after the Coventry Blitz.  There has been peace in Europe even since (baring the Yugoslavia civil war + Russia's various recent exuberances).   After yesterday's crazy day, can we say a that peace will remain in Europe for another 65 years?  I am thoroughly depressed.
