Mindless yardwork

As the Dow took a dive over the world news, I took on the unimaginably boring chore of trimming the edge of the sidewalk grass with a filet knife. (You don't know it but I'm a stock market junkie. On days like today, I compulsively check the market, eager to hear all the big shots spout their opinions. I adore it. Sometimes I pick a word -like "basically"- and count how many times I hear it said over the course of the day. Absolutely fun.) then, I got so wrapped up in this dumb chore, I forgot to watch the evening news, darn it.
