Self Sufficient Britain?

Walking along the soft Cornish sea floor at low tide, I came across this local man who was scanning the sand with a metal detector, looking for lost pieces of jewelry.

Everyone has their means of survival and these better be good. I couldn't help but put this into context of yesterday's news. I am now a citizen of a country which has chosen to cut itself off from the rest of Europe and be led by a few whose confidence is fuelled by nationalism and resentment. The next immediate steps to a brighter future:  re-elect Queen Victoria and re-invent the Industrial Revolution!
