It wasn't a dream
Well apparently yesterday wasn't a dream. What has been done has been done.
I am aware that many people voted leave had their reasons to vote that way and looked at the issues and understood, same as me with wanting to remain. I respect people's right to have their own opinions.
But how many voted leave due to hate and fear and miss information? How many voted leave not really caring but just wanted to stick up two fingers to our government? How many voted leave without even thinking about it? That's what I am upset about.
Saddened by reports that many people waited until after voting to actually find out about the EU.
Now only time will tell. It may not be as bad as some of us fear. Though it could be worse than we ever imagined. For the moment we don't know. While I understand David Cameron not wanting to start the process until a new leader is in place I can't help but feel that delaying will alienate us further.
I feel sad that I am bringing a child into the world during a period of great uncertainty, I feel scared for me and my families future. I feel sad that no one even really cared about the environment.
For the people who voted leave, please don't tell us who wanted to remain that we are scaremongering that our fears our baseless. We have genuine concerns. We need time to process and to an extent grieve. But let's not make this an excuse to divide Britain and the UK. The decision has been made and we need to come together to ride out what's ahead, we need the voices of both sides to be part of the discussion.
Time. That's all we have now.
