First Skipper

Yesterday afternoon I returned some books back to the library and noticed they were looking for volunteers to help with the summer reading challenge. I asked about it and the assistants were keen to tell me about what was involved. I had to go back again this morning to return another book that needed to go back today and I've been signed up as a volunteer from 15 July!! Basically I'll be listening to primary aged children tell me about the books they've read and encouraging them to keep reading. I might also get to hand out stickers as well! Should be fun!

We saw this Skipper near the reservoir dam, just after we'd seen a squirrel climbing an oak tree. Later on we saw some damselflies and a lovely green lizard.
