Metaphors

This is the Flying Scotsman coming through Oakham this morning on its way from London to York.

Given the very sad news from yesterday, it's quite tempting of course to use all sorts of metaphors about things like Flying to Scotland, Making an exit, Lost in the steam mist of the future, turning back the clock, etc, But I won't.
