Pipit
Had a very long walk/flounder across the moorland. The ground was so wet after yesterday's thundery showers, that the bogs were pretty extensive. This wee Meadow Pipit among the Bog Cotton typified the day. There were good flowers, including Foxgloves, Alpine Bistort, masses of different Buttercups, Bugle, Thyme and Birdsfoot Trefoil.
Put up a Black Grouse, which was a surprise, otherwise it was Curlew, Oystercatchers, Lapwings, Snipe and Skylarks.
It stayed dry, apart from my feet, wet to the ankles!
