Common Blue (male)
We don't get many blues around here in Fife. In fact the common blue is the only one I have ever seen and today was the first time this year. I saw two males. This one was happy to display its blue upper surface (taken through a telephoto lens).
My 'extra' for today is the other individual who kept his wings closed.
However, he relied heavily on camouflage for protection and allowed me to get within a few of centimetres with my pocket compact (IXUS 105) and consequently a better quality image.
I have stuck with the former image as my Blip as I think it is more appealing.
