Spent all morning baking with Biz. We made butterfly buns, vanilla ice cream and another traybakey thing that was binned after it fell out of the fridge and onto the floor! Oops! Elizabeth is a great wee baker - I can't wait to see how she fares as she gets older!

Had a gorgeous lunch which consisted mainly of stuff from the garden and then headed down to the river for a swim. Went to the garden after cooling off and did some work picking beans and watering. Biz helped us with the watering which was fantastic as the place is bone dry on a daily basis, no matter how much you soak it the night before.

Got home and had pasta for tea followed by a taste test for mum and dad of our homemade ice cream. We blindfolded them and asked them to guess which was our vanilla one and which was the Carte D'Or version. They guessed right and dad loved our homemade one. He said it's like the type we would've got at home in a slider from the wee shop down the road :)
