The joy of air travel

Our flight from Milan was delayed due to weather (thunder storms) over Europe causing delays. Lenno was due to have thunder storms later in the day.

Our flight is due to leave from gate A17, these people are already queueing for boarding, they are going to be standing in the queue for a long time.

I took the photo from the balcony of the Ferrari bar (extra photo), which by happy chance overlooked our gate, so we could enjoy a glass of Prosecco while keeping an eye on progress at our gate.

Despite the late departure of our flight, and the consequent late arrival of the flight in Amsterdam, we made it to our connection, though it was a rush through the terminal. We had the same cabin crew on both flights, the first time I have had that happen. Maybe they could take a short cut thorough the Schengen border control.

Aberdeen airport is a mess, having to walk outside in pouring rain to get to immigration is not a great advertisement or welcome for visitors. They must wonder what sort of country they have arrived in.
