Jumping the waves

We went to the beach today. The waves were even 2 meters high. I was standing in knee-deep water and couple of times the waves went over my head. I think I was jumping the waves for over an hour. I'm exhausted now. But it was the most fun I've had in years. 

It's a shame you can't really see the height of the waves in the picture, but this is the first time I've seen this much surfers-in-learning on the beach. The surf was up!
