Rise of the Living Dead

We met Maureen and Ian at Lighthorne village this afternoon where they were holding an NGS open gardens event. Luckily the rain kept off until it was time to go home and we visited all nine gardens, plus the village hall where tea and cakes were being served.

As expected there were lovely displays of plants and flowers, plus a brook, two lily ponds and a swimming pool. What was not so expected was this garden sculpture I came across, a bit scary I thought, hardly a garden gnome.
