and we're off!

up at 2:30 am for our flight, so we weren't exactly bright eyed and bushy tailed, to say the least..

however, our flight at 8am from edinburgh was quite pleasant, as i stopped by at the EAT to grab some porridge, served by a man who i can only describe as over enthusiastic, again - to say the very least. it was fair to say he loved his job!

a nice thing to see to be honest! a good start to the day

our flight to venice, italy, wasn't too long - only about 2.5 hours, and i slept most of the journey, waking up just in time to see the canals of venice

stepping out into italy was fantastic, it was incredibly hot, well over 30 degrees, putting us into a brilliant holiday perspective!

this is little ava, my dance teacher's youngest granddaughter, she's just so sweet, and spent the whole bus journey leaping from lap to lap

2 was a wonderful age :')

we were told that the journey to bosnia, passing through slovenia and croatia en route would take just 5 hours, however, 8 and a half hours later we arrived at our festival accommodation, a 'posh youth hostel' hotel thingy above the 'Napoleon' pizza restaurant, i don't know about 'posh', but it was cozy!

we were all exhausted, so after some quick unpacking, isla and i were fast asleep - being the oldest on the trip meant we got our own double room with en suite
