Cave Stream
After a big cooked breakfast and tidy up we departed the lodge around 11.30am on yet another brilliant day. We headed down the mountain, picking up cars as we went, and ultimately fixing mine - a bent cowling underneath that was vibrating badly.
Then off to Cave Stream for a walk up an underground river. It's an amazing place, you start at the downstream end, and after an initial (chest high) entry the stream wanders for 594 metres thru an underground limestone tunnel. It's a simply awesome experience, especially when there are 15 people laughing and having fun.
I should say also, it was challenging photographing in near pitch darkness, and the camera had one or two close calls in the wet ... Next time I need to remember to take my waterproof camera!
What a weekend, lots of fun and a great bunch of people to work with.
Just back blipped the last 3 days, somewhat higher above ground!
