The Olympics come to Surrey

To round off my Olympic weekend, I was able to (briefly) see the Woman's Road Race as it came through West Byfleet in Surrey.

In contrast to the uninterrupted sunshine of yesterday, the race today included lots of thundery showers. The weather did relent as the cyclists negotiated a slippery sharp left hand turn - but it did mean that they slowed enough for a few photographs as they came round. This is one of the 28 frames I took in the 7 seconds it took for the cyclists to pass.

Although the weather didn't match up to yesterday, the crowds were just as good-humoured.
