Here's Gary getting ready for our trip to the tip for us to dump a van full of furniture from 4, Forestside Avenue after spending our last full day in the house the day before. Our last full day after over forty years. It is really hard to comprehend that this house is now no longer the Lewington residence.

Anyway, this trip to the tip would be followed by three trips to Portsmouth and back to unload three van loads of Gary's furniture into his new flat at North End. Of course, this being the summer, we had to do most of the loading and unloading in torrential rain. And, of course, Gary's new flat has to be on the third floor at the top of a narrow, winding staircase. 

When we finally finished unloading at 21:45, I was very hungry. Unfortunately, the spoons were packed somewhere so I found out what it is like to eat a bowlful of milk and cereal with my fingers. It's sticky and messy.
