Versailles

Not really, it's Coombe Abbey in Coventry! 
Dad used to bring us here quite a lot when we were kids. The house (now a hotel) was then a private residence. It has a moat and I seem to remember a drawbridge (maybe to keep out us council estate kids!) 
I used to dream of going inside and swapping my life for that of a little princess. Sadly, it was not to be! 
I could go now as a paying guest and stay in one of the grand rooms, but I don't think it'd be quite the same!
Still we had great fun in the parkland. The only downside was the 5 mile hike to get there, which, at the tender age of seven, wasn't that much fun! ;)
