Beautification

Current reality in Moscow:  the center is one huge construction site as they replace the sidewalks with wider spaces, new paving, benches and trees.  It's an initiative to beautify the city and of course currently a big disruption to pedestrians and cars.  The excavations are shrouded in green and white striped sheeting and it's all due to be lifted and revealed at the end of August.  No doubt everyone's waiting to see if it's been worth it.
