It is speculated that this cave (on the Darn Walk Bridge of Allan) was the inspiration, for Ben Gunn's cave in, Robert Louis Stevenson (1850 - 1894) Treasure Island.
Stevenson holidayed in Bridge of Allan and walked the Darn Walk with his family.
