The fruits of labour
Our first strawberries are ready to eat, yay! They look so good, it seems a shame to eat them.....but we will.
Mr A thought I'd polished this one for the photo, but it wasn't even washed when I took the photo.
Work has been pleasant today; terrible Tuesday isn't so bad these days touches wood.
It got off to a good start with me being called 'a legend' hopefully not coz I'm old by my assistant Liam.
It was his birthday on Saturday (he was 20) so I took him a little present in today.
Usually at the Tuesday place, we all chip in and get a gift for whoever's birthday it is, but since Liam and I always work together, I thought I would get him something just from me.
Liam has Aspergers, and in all honesty he drove me mad initially, but as time has progressed, we've both learned how the other one works and get on really well now. He still has his moments, but I certainly feel less ignorant about his condition and better informed as to how keep him on an even keel.
We share a love of rock music, so we always have something to talk about; he shares his favourite bands and songs with me and I introduce him to classic stuff (though he has great knowledge already).
I didn't want to get him something too personal for his birthday, but similarly didn't want anything run of the mill, so it took a while to figure out what he would like.
I settled on a bag of chocolate orange segments, a box of his favourite mocha drinks and a mug for him to keep at work (he loves his coffees). The mug was of his favourite band 'Black Veil Brides'.
He looked like he might cry when he saw it, chuffed is an understatement and this is when he deemed me to be a 'legend'!
Bless his little face.
Today was a good day :-)
