As elsewhere across the queendom this evening, Oxford held a rally in the rain with placards saying 'We ❤ EU'. Or calling on the Leave voters to blame austerity not the EU. Or to tell Europeans they are welcome. Or to remind us that ‘the only thing necessary for the triumph of evil is for good men to do nothing’. Or to insist that Oxford stays. (Really? How?)

My own priority at the moment is to communicate across the many divides that have opened up so I’d gone to talk with Leavers. But none identified themselves so instead I snapped placards that made me smile. Another in extras.
