Ickworth

Hilda's nursing home had another outing today - to Ickworth Park (National Trust). There were five wheelchair-bound residents and five helpers. Not a very wheelchair friendly place - mostly gravel paths, with lots of steps but few ramps - but nice formal gardens and views over the surrounding parkland - and lovely home-made cakes and scones in the tea room! The weather was very pleasant most of the time, but clouded over while we were in the tea room - and poured with rain 5 minutes after we got back on the bus, so we didn't get wet!
