ANOTHER FAIRY....
... this time a fairywren - a superb one at that!
Another really cold morning, but a crisp cool sunny winters day, so detoured via the mighty Nepean River this afternoon.
Pleased I did, as found a new bird. An Eastern Spinebill and being only 16cm in size maximum quite small. The extra shot shows it was a fair way away but it does show the very long beak for sucking the nectar out.
However, had these fairy wrens flitting around, and this one in my Blip sat on the bench nearby giving me a mouthful!!!
Obviously enjoying the sun on its little tail.
