Rainy Regatta Day 1

It was grim weather for day 1 of the Henley Regatta starting with a glimmer of sunshine and then rain, rain, rain.... I met my friend Annie and we walked the whole course up to the start going from enclosures full of rowers to the corporate enclosures full of bankers and their ilk swigging champagne without even a glance at the racing.

Whilst the Steward's Enclosure requires hemlines below the knee, the further up the course you go the shorter the hemlines get. Tom's team-mates in the B quad had a really tough draw and lost their race, but Tom's A quad  will be racing tomorrow at 6.20pm live on youtube and BT Sport - but I'll get to watch it in person in the Steward's Enclosure. Finger's crossed!
