The Vital Spark at Inveraray

In Inveraray tonight to have a meal at the George with my son Ewan to celebrate my birthday. Cara came too and settled down nicely under the table ready to be fed the occasional titbit.

A walk beforehand round by the pier, where the puffer 'Vital Spark' basked in the evening light. Inveraray was, of course, the birthplace of Neil Munro, author of the Para Handy stories following the Vital Spark and her motley crew around highland harbours.
