The crew

We're slightly the worse for wear today. A chaotic and slightly dismal lunch at the hotel descends into farce when we get charged double for everything. It gets sorted out amicably enough, but gives the flavour of the day.

Most folk are heading home. Angus has decided to go too, so as not to miss school. There's the slight problem that his school bag is locked in the car on the other side of the loch. He has to get the key back to the ferry before it returns to Gigha. More farce when, while I'm explaining this to Robin, the ramp begins to rise with me still on the ferry. Jane lets me off and I take the walk of shame back up the slipway.

Tonight it's me, Claire, Megan and Karen in the house. We eat burgers and watch the5th Estate. And sleep.
